STRANGE STRATEGY FOR WARFARE

Image result for GOOGLE CLIP ART SHOWING SINGING AND PRAISING   In my readings, I love it when I get to read good news.  I am reading about King Jehoshaphat who is the son of "good King Asa" of Judea.  His kingdom has experienced peace  and there is a multitude of positive activities going on within the kingdom's infrastructure to strengthen and fortify towns.  2Chronicles 17 is a glowing report of how God is blessing Jehoshaphat.  Chapters 18-19 are replete with his workings throughout the kingdom.  In chapter 20, several  countries decide to come against Jehoshaphat to make war.  I love his courage.  Scripture states that he was afraid and "turned his attention to seek the Lord." His prayer is a delight to read and such an encouraging model when the press of circumstance is coming against you!  I LOVE  the words from Benaiah who speaks to the king: "Do not fear or be dismayed because of this great multitude, for the battle is not yours but God's."

Jehoshaphat decides on this strategy of warfare:  "And when he had consulted with the people, he appointed those who sang to the Lord and those who praised Him in holy attire, as they went out before the army and said, "Give thanks to the Lord for His lovingkindness is everlasting."  The praise and worship team went out ahead of the army!  Scripture reports that when they began singing and praising that the Lord set ambushes against the enemies and they were routed.  Would you believe that Judah won and the kingdom was at peace on all sides of them?

Just wondering if we should not be still sometimes and approach our cares with praising, singing, and thanking the Lord instead of fretting, stewing, and sweating bullets?  In fact, I have several cares, giant economy size pressing now, "Lord God, I thank you and praise You that there are cares pressing, but I am reminded the battle is YOURS and not mine.  Thank YOU Lord God that You are Sovereign and that YOU know exactly what to do and when!" Praises to YOU Almighty God.  Forever learning!  In process!  #IHAVETHREESONS
