LORD, OUR MIGHTY WARRIOR

Our LORD in viewing Israel's consistency to sin and to be at constant warfare within and without, "looked" not just glanced, but gazed or observed intently that there was no justice among His own.  Isaiah described God as being displeased that there was no justice and even more strongly the emotion of being shocked or appalled that there was NO ONE to intercede for and among His own.  He had rescued Israel over and over again from warring nations, and still she turned from God and entered back into her lover's arms.  Her lovers sought to destroy her, yet she returned.

Scripture relates that He put on righteousness as His breastplate, and put on the helmet of salvation on His head.  He cloaked Himself in passion for Israel and His vengeance against evil to fight for them.  She was HIS and He would fight for her! Isaiah 59:17

This same Mighty Warrior well knew before His creation of man that we were going to be vulnerable and captivated by sin.  A risk that He was so willing to undertake.  Praise His Name, He also knew that among us, there would not be a Perfect Deliverer, so out of His own perfect Trinity, He sent a Deliverer in Christ Jesus for us, to buy us back from the slavery to sin and the evil one.  "And having disarmed the powers and authorities, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross." Colossians 2:15

Thank You Mighty Warrior for defeating sin and death at the cross and because of that magnificent and glorious sacrifice, YOU have declared that we are more than conquerors in Christ Jesus.  Thank You for the indwelling presence and power of the Holy Spirit within us as Christ followers, we can experience this Truth.
